We believe in innovation and impact. And that’s exactly what we achieved with the launch of the Poundland Perks app, a collaboration with the UK-based Apadmi. Since October 17, 2024, customers in more than 800 Poundland stores across the UK have been enjoying our exciting loyalty promotions. The Spin-to-Win campaign, in particular, has been a massive success. Every Wednesday—or should we say WINsday—thousands of users return to try their luck.

How gamification enhances customer loyalty

Loyalty programs only work if customers enjoy using them. That’s why we created Spin-to-Win, a playful way to keep customers coming back every week. The concept is simple: with a spin of the wheel, users can instantly win prizes and vouchers. This has led to an explosive growth in active users. On October 23, 31,266 participants engaged—an increase of 158% compared to the test phase. A week later, on October 30, that number had already risen to 42,671!

WINsday as a weekly highlight

Every Wednesday is a top day for the app. On WINsday, we see more than 12,000 active users—twice as many as on a regular day. The app continues to grow every week, attracting more and more customers. After a successful test phase in Northern Ireland and Scotland, the app was rolled out across the entire UK in October, with great success.

Belgian innovation on an international level

This is a major milestone for us. We are proving that digital loyalty programs with gamification truly work and can connect customers to brands in an enjoyable way. “Our technology not only makes shopping more engaging but also strengthens the bond between brands and their customers,” says Bert Croimans.
